Adam Byer grow & show measure up.
Thought I'd have a quick measure up of the Byer grow & show fish.
They initially arrived 6th August 2021.
Mukashi Ogon, 26cm at purchase, 45cm 29/01/22, 51cm today.
Kohaku, 26cm at purchase, 36cm 29/01/2022, 46cm today.
Just noticed I've put 2002 and not 2022 in the title sequence!

That's a great job MalNorwich !
Excellent growth, particularly generating volume across the back of the koi and above the lateral line. I'll be looking for that type of thing when we judge the results later this year.
Growth traits are similar in both koi, which suggests your husbandry is working.
Both koi look great. Congratulations.

Thanks for the good comments. I missed a couple of months of potential growth as well, the polytunnel my grow on is in got damaged in the January storms as did the grow on tank itself and the shower so I had them in a temporary tank filtered with an Eazy Pod and as they are not up to the job for heavy feeding I dare not feed them too much.
Yes, I'm in this years, can't wait to get started, especially the Asagi.34,000L, 2xSpindrifters, Aqua Sieve2, Nexus300, 24in K1/bead, Momotaro Bakki, 17kwThermotec Inverter

Taking an Asagi at this year's event is a great choice. Lots of the entrants have opted that way too, and the ones that haven't will probably wish they had! We have a good range of Asagi types put aside for the June event, to provide everyone with great choice. Not long to wait until this year's event.

Both fish looking great Mal, some great growth there! That Mukashi Ogon is absolutely stunning
I have a gin rin Asagi in my pond already so ticked that box, but I was extremely tempted to add one of Adams Jumbos when I visited for the Jumbo Tosai release. I think I even told Amanda I had to walk away from the vat as I knew I would end up leaving with one. I still left with 4 fish after this as well!
