    Thanks ColinColin !

For anyone else interested, there is an analysis of these 5 koi on our koi farm blog here which includes the video and shows pics of the koi taken 6 weeks earlier. The changes in these utsuris in such a short time is fascinating !

Doitsu goshiki ! Well, that’s the first ask for that one , but we will bear it in mind :-)

Normally scaled goshiki gets asked for occasionally and it’s on the list but not imminent.

After the success of our Asagi breeding last year , this year sees us with new lines in doitsu ochiba and also kikusui and doitsu hariwake.

We did a selection a couple of weeks ago , and brought through to the sales room some kohaku into the larger of the small koi mixes; so the 4-5 , 5-6 and 6-8 inchers.

For the 20-25cm ‘tosai’ type of output , and larger … it’s going to be another couple of months. We have 75 growing on to that stage and so we will have an offering for you later this summer. The spawning was very late last year and then on top of that , it took us 2 mo this to settle them into the recirculation systems after their fry pond stint … and the end result is that their whole timeline is displaced to the right .

My estimate .. 2 months and then we will have a good selection in those ‘tosai’ sizes. And btw … the colour quality on the spawning , and the body shapes are really special this time around.

The inverse style shiro utsuri pattern … Very interesting ! We have kept one a bit like that to take to Nisai. You might see it in some marketing over the next few months.

The sumi quality from this shiro spawning is particularly pleasing - and it’s our first foray into shiro , and so we are pleased on that side of things. We plan to go even larger this year and next on shiro so watch this space. We have a new 85cm shiro female (Omosako) to breed off , plus a few others to make up a breeding team :-)

i wont buy fish anywhere else with the quality and bloodline Adam has i love to watch a fish develop instead of buying a finished article!! whats the fun it that?? and the price is ridiculously cheap compared to Japanese bred fish... and his fish are winning awards at shows!! in a few years he and Amanda will be even bigger names and players on the Koi seen. which i think is refreshing for the UK koi scene.

Keep up the good work Adam and Amanda and start putting your release on here for the lads
