Been trying to upload a couple of pics there is some faint sumi as well as the deeper sumi on this is 9 inch, wounded if there is a chance of further sumi breaking through as it matures

Think they will turn out to be nice fish. I have been looking on adams website but wanted something around 25cm at least but he doesn’t have any shirio utsuri at the moment

If it is not possible to know the background of the OYAGOI (parents) or the tendencies of siblings, the only way to rule out the less likely ones.
It is often said that the shape of the SUMI of the hand fins, entirely stained black or striped, is undesirable.
Even if it is developing, if a jet-black area can be identified somewhere, it is possible that a SUMI of that quality will appear later.
