    Heat Pump

Is it normal for my thermotec heat pump to keep  stopping in these extreme cold conditions. I have the temperature set to 15 but it wont get to any more than 12 but hit keeps stopping then starting.

Have you had a look at the heat pump?

Although I don't have one, I know others have had problems in cold weather with the condensate freezing up in the drip tray, which if left unattended builds up into a large icicle, which can then prevent the ASHP from heating.

Perfectly normal! Despite views otherwise all heatpumps will struggle in low temps and constantly enter the defrost cycle. The stop stop is just the unit defrosting.
