Potassium Permanganate DOSAGE
Good morning,
I need to disinfect some shower media with PP but cannot find any dosage for this, i plan on putting all the media into a very large plastic container and then submerging the media for 24 hours, can anyone advise the PP dosage i should use for disinfecting the media ? I Have both Kusuri PP in crystal form and NT labs PP in liquid form.... thanks in advance Steve.

May be completely wrong so wait for someone else to advise as well, but I would have thought you would just need to stick a triple dose or something in to keep the water purple for as long as possible and as your trying to nuke anything that could be in there it wouldn't matter as its not going to in contact with any fish. You can hose it off after etc. Also might be worth using a Virkon solution for a day or 2 to disinfect as this is what it is designed for.

I Have spoken to Gaz about this for some advice and he thinks the same, overdose to disinfect 100%, will rinse them off after 4 hours approx..... due to strength of PP we were unsure if it might break down/erode crystal bio as its quiet soft so pre soaking a couple of stones before PP them all just in case it has a negative effect on them being a strong dose...... thanks Gaz for your help
