I was watching that Showa, was tempted then saw it was you bidding so left it, you got a lovely one there. I don't think there's anything to worry about personally but will see come May. I still need to get one or 2 more in the box

Certainly seemed more bidders this time around. One guy either is a dealer or has a big empty pond as his name was against most of the fish I looked at. Still, picked up a nice 30cm gin rin ochiba for 81€, which is about what I'd pay for an imported tosai at my local dealer half that size. Had my eye on a showa and a couple of kohaku though but was outbid...next time... must stay focused!

So just to confirm as I wanted to clear up how they get the fish here etc, they drive the fish to England themselves, then a company ships to your door. I emailed them to ask how the fish are shipped and this was what they have told me themselves.
Having looked just now its about 4.5 hours from them to calais so I wouldn't expect the fish would even be boxed up much longer than if they are sent from the UK. I guess its possible they drive to somewhere like an APC hub and deliver the fish, then APC ship them to your door and as they will go through customs and they have all the appropriate paperwork etc so there's nothing for the customer to do but wait for the delivery.

Wow! What have you lot introduced me too - those Isa showa are almost too good to be true.

First time in my life I’m apprehensive about buying koi, just fear of the unknown I guess.

I hope for everyone that it is legit and everyone gets their koi!

Thank you for sharing absolute gold mine of koi at insane prices

Does it say anything about their quarantine procedures, do they heat ramp for example?

Yes all quarantined for 6-8 weeks

At the time of sale, our koi spent at least six to eight weeks in quarantine in order to be able to exclude infestation with virus diseases such as KHV that are dangerous for the fish. In addition, our koi are microscopically examined for parasites and worms every week. If you have decided on a Koi, we will deliver it on time at the time agreed with you.

Some nice fish there. Have you found out if there are importing costs on top of the shipping costs?

Nice find, I'm guessing this just their normal prices? It's not like end of season sales to get them out their vats as they're keeping them on for another 6 months anyway.

As long as all legit, will look in Feb/Mar once hopefully the pond has been sorted out

    And they've all got certificates?
