Paper water filter cartridge turning brown very fast
Hello
I have a a paper then a activated carbon water filter system for filling up the pond.
Recently my paper cartridges are going very dark brown and leaving a dark coloured semi sludgy deosit in the bottom of the first paper chamber quite quickly.
used to take a couple weeks or say 6k onwards for this.
Now this is happeninf within a few days of going in . Or 1000 litres
I buy branded cartridges but either I am doing someting wrong or North west water are putting mud in manchester's water
Any advice please

that was only after a few days though. Agreed you can run them and they go very mucky but this just seems a bit too quick.
Glad we have a britta filter makes you wonder all that dirt and rust going in your kidneys !!

fair play mate- its just theres a mucky brown substance at the bottom of the paper chamber and I think is this making my water cloudier in my pond.
The speed they are getting dirty is very fast.
Good to know they chuck mud in our water ! must be posh clay at least that would explain the constant rising prices
