    Koi getting small amounts of fungus

    Hi,

    I'm starting to see small amounts of fungus on my koi's fins, just small amounts and doesn't seem to be rapidly growing, however one goldfish it quickly rotted it's fins to the point it had none left and unfortunately died.

    I've started a treatment if Chlorimine T to treat for anything bacterial as I couldn't find anything from scrapes and the fish are not flashing or anything.

    I tested my parameters as I do weekly and they are as follows:

    12/09/21
    PH = 7.5
    KH = 5
    GH = 4
    Ammonia = 0
    Nitrite = 0
    Phosphate = 1
    Chlorine detected - 40g of Sodium thiosulphate added to neutralise.

    Could it be the Chlorine that has caused it? I hadn't tested that for a few weeks and may need my Declorinator replaced/filters changed.

    Thanks.

    Chlorine levels in water supply are high currently.

    In addition to the trickle in / out via the Big Blue I use, I try and avoid any big changes at the weekend and add Aquasource Vitalize to the pond every 3 days. This has helped me and I know I am not the only retailer undertaking this process currently.

    Cheers

    For fungal issues, I prefer to use salt and acriflavin.
