Pond dip
The diffuser for one of my BD has popped off so I need to get in and put it back on. Is there any harm in putting a ladder in the pond with the fish so that I can get back out easily

Ladder has rubber feet is that OK or should I stick something else under it. In this weather looking forward to getting in not so much so if it happens in winter

Ladders in ponds slip very easily so, when I've used a ladder in a pond, I put it with the bottom against the far wall so it doesn't have anywhere to slip to. That makes an awkward climb in and out but, at least, it's a safe climb. If the ladder isn't long enough to do that, don't put it at the normal angle but put it vertically in the pond with a second person firmly holding the top so that you don't peel backwards as you climb.
Even though the ladder has rubber feet, I would still do as Rob advised and wrap a thick pad of soft material, (such as a stolen hand towel) around each leg.
One last important thing is to have someone videoing the operation so we can all enjoy it if you fall.

Great ill get some towels for the feet I'm sure the Mrs wants new ones anyway. Could be very interesting getting in and out. And I'm sure the kids or Mrs will be filming for their amusement

And make sure the koi don't climb out whilst your back is turned
How deep is the pond btw? You may have a job getting the defuser back on if it's too deep.

All done, the Mrs forgot to press the start button but there was no falling in, just a lot of water lost with the new addition to.tge pond . Pond is 5 foot deep so wasn't too bad once I turned the air pump off

Oh dear the diffuser has come back off so obviously pushing the fitting back on wasn't good enough. I'm guessing from another post I've seen that I'll need to use a sealant to fix the pipework back in?
