I’ve been away a few times over the last few weeks and had a great time socialising. And the drum has not missed a beat.
Auto top up is working great. I don’t have a trickle in. But the drum is set to clean cycle for 1.00 minute and uses a far few Lts.
I purge the bottom drains x 2 and flush around 50 gallons once a wk. And boil the k1 in nexus 310 and flush that once a wk. All amazing and couldn’t be happier.
No leaks. Except the airlift pump had air leak witch I sealed with super glue and activator and went off rock hard in 10 secs.
    Then up and running again.
    Water clarity is amazing.
The skimmer I only put on once a day or every other day. May be run it for 12 hrs or so. The cheap great auto feeder is set a bit to high measure of feed ! But seem to get through it. All growing well.
    My heater stoped working ?
So I’ll need to investigate that in the near future.
If I want to keep feeding for another 6-8 weeks.
The second hand shower went strait into action without any issues. But there was no bottom tray / spill way with it.
So I made one out of
    12mm OSB + 2”x2” then Glassed it. (. Mint! )
I sat having a cider tonight before it went dark. Here’s the pic. Koi life is amazing, I recommend it. Yay my fish are back in there new home. + 2 new nice koi.Yay my fish are back in there new home. + 2 new nice koi.Yay my fish are back in there new home. + 2 new nice koi.cheers to you all.

Amazing love it! Got to agree, to sit on a warm evening drink in hand round a pond is pretty special!

Hmmm looks like I spoke a little to soon Lady’s and Gents! My Drum has a fault. It turns out the drums are not maintainable free. It runs fine but debris builds up in the poop shoot, The gutter that carry’s the waist away. Is not carrying all the waist away?

I sprayed the hose through the screen and up the channel and cleared it all out spotless ! But what a stink Yay my fish are back in there new home. + 2 new nice koi.Yay my fish are back in there new home. + 2 new nice koi.*Yay my fish are back in there new home. + 2 new nice koi. I will have to keep an eye on that. But all the rest of the Fillter kit is running great. Yay my fish are back in there new home. + 2 new nice koi.

Yeah I have heard about this - although maintainable is greatly reduced I think every week I will still go in and rinse and use my pond vac to ensure any build up anywhere is removed.

Hard to believe that before drums all that stink and poop was sat in the filter media in contact with the water for the duration of time before the next manual clean.

Glad to hear it is still running beautifully though!
