Although it's German language, I'm surprised no one has mentioned ModernKoiBlog.
A huge number of videos, with a large percentage of really decent ponds.
No channel is perfect, but if I had to choose just one channel for visual inspiration, it'd be the above.
For the English-speaking stuff, I'm familiar with most of those mentioned already in this thread, but I find the English channels a bit hit-and-miss, to be honest. Some good episodes but a lot of chaff.
On Vimeo, Kevin Ellis used to do some entertaining long-format epsiodes called 'Koi Nerding', but since Vimeo deleted his channel, he hasn't copied all the old episodes over to his youtube channel, and seems to be more interested in angling than koi these days (he's always been first and foremost an angler, and is famous in the UK for catching a record-breaking carp, decades ago).

Stunning selections on there, the Germans as with everything do it right. it’s videos like this that make me realise why I’ve never liked boxes with windows and need to try a lot harder!! You can just see from the guys front garden what the rear is going to be like ohmygod!

The best koi channel is simply ..... you and your own pond.
I used to watch quite a few. Got quite bored quite quickly.
Many today seem more interested in subscriber numbers, giving prizes away to attract more viewers and channel merchandise not to mention squeezing in more and more adverts and even asking viewers to donate to pond builds.
Oh dear.....
The effort and dedication is admirable......the content and ethos of some is questionable.
Shoot me down!!!

I bought a koi from him, long story short but after paying deposit he kept finding excuses to ask for more money! I couldn't collect immediately due to being in full lock down and the fact he's 4.5 hours drive away. As lock down started easing and collection arrangements being made he kept saying it is worth more now as it has grown.
I didn't bite other than to agree an extra £50 and a bottle of wine, but suddenly he cancelled the sale.
It was all for the best though as I found an even better koi for the same price.

The "Merch" sales are beyond a joke now, not just on koi channels but everywhere.
On one car channel I follow, the guy is great and has worked his way from nowhere and actually deserves any funding he can get, but after selling 100s of T-shirts, hoodies, jackets and mugs with his car and logo he suddenly repainted the car and slightly changed the logo.... And subsequently all the Merch. I'd have been proper annoyed if I'd just bought a load of his Merch to find it instantly out of date!
As it happens I rarely wear anything with visible logos so won't be buying from any of them.
If I was a YouTuber wanting to sell merch I'd be manufacturing items unavailable elsewhere that would be useful to my followers.

Thanks g Mac.
The full story is quite long but yeah, for a guy that will only have the best of everything for his koi he was really penny pinching when it came to the one I bought, money for food up to the agreed collection date, bottle of wine for his troubles, extra money for oxygen etc etc, followed by the whole "it's grown and worth more now".
And I won't get started on the Flukes it was carrying!

I've put together my own collection of valuable channels, but is it too many? — (゜∀゜)アハハハハハハハ

I haven't succeeded in contacting this person yet, but I personally think that he could be a key person in the process of future European bred KOIs becoming world champions.
※ I think he knows Mr. Byer too. If they succeed, they will be noticed not only by SAKAI, DAINICHI and MOMOTARO, but by all the top KOI hobbyists in Japan!Last edited by Naoki Atsumi; 12-06-2021 at 04:13 PM.
