Sounds like you are closer to finishing yours than I am.
I'm looking at getting the jebao 35lpm air pump for mine.
My thinking being I only need to get 50litres of k1 turning over and the water will only be about 60cm deep, so there will be hardly any pressure on the pump.
The plan is I'll get the k1 boiling, then divert any excess air to an airstone in the Qt, and balance it out so there's enough in the bio to get it rolling and also so it's not a jacuzzi in the Qt.

Thinking even the 35 would blow the fish out of the water as am not having a moving bed just running a shower so unless I just bleed some off could still be well over.. Think a decent aquarium pump would do the trick.
What are the thoughts of putting a wave maker in to give them more current to swim against??

Yeah, if you only need air for an airstone, a 35lpm jobby would be too powerful.

I've dropped a airlift in the corner at the moment and thinking of leaving it there and getting a sock for it to help with any fines with being pump fed
