Kohaku already sold out! I guess I will have to pay a visit to try get a Tosai or two from him. I wanted a Nisai but the only one left that took my fancy sold.

I have already bought 3 new Byer koi, to be delivered as soon as their delivery guys have a same-day run to my area. All are 2-3 years old.
Although it would be fun to do a grow and show, I’ve found that the mixed needs of the fish in my pond can be an issue with heating and feeding a high-growth koi VS looking after the best interests of older koi in my pond who will happily scoff growth food but really shouldn’t. I will therefore be watching how your grow and show koi develop rather than participating2016 new 6000 gallon pond

3 Lovely fish there Feline, I especially like the 1st Kohaku!
There is a lovely 35cm Nisai Showa on his page at the moment for £195. I was tempted by that and a Kohaku but the Kohaku sold and so I haven't got the showa either. Maybe when he opens up I will take a trip down and get a couple of Tosai Kohaku as I would like a couple of his but prefer to buy Nisai.

Seems there is a mix back on the forum with who buys small and how buys a few year old is there any reason. Or is it just some like to watch development and some just know what they want and want it in the pond now and jot it 2/3 years?
