Any recommendations for a 1000l pond set up?

1000l is too small for a koi pond , unless you are talking about a Quarantine tank set up.

No not just a qt tank, I was hoping to grow up a couple koi and keep them in there. See how it goes. I’ve read on a few pages that it would be okay and some have said it’s too small.
