What are you planning on keeping in there? Is it just a qt tank?

1000l is too small for a koi pond , unless you are talking about a Quarantine tank set up.

No not just a qt tank, I was hoping to grow up a couple koi and keep them in there. See how it goes. Iíve read on a few pages that it would be okay and some have said itís too small.

As a grow on that's fine. Am in building one at about 1200 lt. But when you say keep them in there how long are we talking. In the right temp food and water a fry can clear 20 30cm in the first year
