Although my post might have implied it, it would be unfair to take this guys actions as being in any way related to the koi club itself.
Or even my experience and Andy's experience with him as being his standard level of service. Might have just been bad luck.
I knew of his name because he's listed as a senior contact for the club. But it was through a separate search that I found his koi health company on the side. Totally unrelated to the club.
But it would be true to say the only reason I contacted him for help was because my expectations were high in consideration of his high level links to the club.

Think it all started with the blue measuring bowl koi tax thread!
And an argument with Trace.
I definitely upset him when I posted a dig at the moderators on this forum for something or other. He wasn't happy about that and stopped replying to PM's I'd been sending him about how the fry he gave me were developing.

No I know what you meant and didn't aim it at the koi club, just sounds like a poor experience from the guy, given it being someone who you paid so much for and not even an apology .The lack of activity/contact from the club itself doesn't paint the best picture for them either if I am honest, I would have thought you would get some sort of pack through etc.

I did expect some sort of pack or even a membership card of some kind, but got nothing.
I assume I should have something otherwise anyone could turn up at a membership only event claiming to be a member.
Assuming of course that they do have membership only events.

I remember the thread RS, Trace was asking Dave questions that seemed reasonable enough at the time but Dave didn't like being questioned, got the hump and then bugger off.
Personally I thought Dave was a very clever bloke but he was also a very ignorant one at times too.
I think he must have had a sense of humour bypass at a very young age.
So no for once it wasn't to do with me

As you say RS, I tend to let others get on with it when arguments start unless I'm personally involved.

Is this the same club that organized the koi show at Swanley Kent? The name Paula rings a bell I think I had contact with someone of that name that did a water test and possibly an autopsy on a fish, might be wrong. I used a bloke called Mick the fish, used to come round with his microscope, take a scrape and shout out tricodena or something, can't remember what costs were.

I emailed David, the club Chairman, about this yesterday and he phoned me this morning. It was a long conversation and I won't put the details on here but the outcome was that he would like to speak to you and put this right so, if you could PM me with your phone number, I'll pass that on.
