Thread: Heron Alert!

  1. #1

    Heron Alert!

Just sat down for some lunch, bloody heron has just landing on the roof of my pushed! Scared it away, it's now sat on the neighbours roof.
I'm sat waiting for the next move, before I send my best mate out, Harley the German shepherd cross labradour to say hello to it!

    Not what you need

Nope! Not that my ponds stocked yet, just 3 small garden centre koi.
I ended up pinging a .177 into my garden, the rifles quite noisy. That done the trick, will keep my eye out!

Don’t need a big dog, a little Westie does the job with a Border Collie on call if needed.

Yes it was sadly, you know if one has a problem it’s always the best one, 65cms Marudo, five years ago and still pains me today.

    Hi
For years newver had a problem but the neighbours said now and again there was a heron scouting my pond but i never saw it then one day right next to it bold as brass. Luckily didnt taek anything but i put some clear 80lb fishing line in a criss cross matrix over my garden.
You cant see the wire unless you look really close which is great and fingers crossed no one has seen the heron since.

    Hope that helps

    jim
