I think everyone will have their own way to show their respects.
As for having an annual event in Fred’s name that sounds like a great idea! It likely is more of a spring summer event though
Once all the corona virus is done with I recon a bbq at Gaz’s house

Hi all,
Fred did not drink alcohol and whilst to my knowledge he was not anti others drinking it may be worth considering how appropriate that particular tribute may actually be??
the lanterns (as someone has mentioned) are dangerous and can cause fires upon landing (sorry that’s the insurance underwriter side of me - my ‘proper job’)..
Cheers

Thanks Gaz.
Are you 100% he didn't drink as I thought I read on numerous posts he mentioned what he drank. John 1 was also on those same posts so maybe he can confirm one way or the other?
Sorry I'm not saying you are wrong Gaz as I might be miss remembering or just remembering what I want to if you know what I mean?
If it is the case Fred didn't drink then the raise a glass option is still open as I mentioned earlier but it doesn't have to be an alcoholic drink in the glass and if that's the case the time of day when we all want to do it could be during normal working hours couldn't it and time it for the funeral maybe?

Hi mate,
without divulging the conversation Fred and I had, I’m 99% sure he said he no longer drank.
If Dale sees this perhaps he will kindly confirm.
I’m always happy to be corrected and not precious about such - but like everyone just wanted to ensure any tribute was fitting..
Cheers
Gaz
