Timer on a switchbox
I have one of these switch boxes on the pond 33049.jpg
is there any way to run a timer on just 1 . . I want to have my air pump on a timer

The way I would do it is connect a timer via an external power supply and not from one of the switched supplies from that box then connect the cable from the switch box that's feeding your air pump through the timer. You'll need a timer with volt free contacts and then just run the lives through that set of contacts and connect the neutrals together via connector strip or Wago connectors. You will probably need to put the timer and connections into an enclosure so there are no exposed wires or connections.

If you've got 3 core cables then you will need to connect the earths together as well in the enclosure
