    Uv failed in an RDF

    I've got a Filtreau HF30 RDF
and I changed the float switch to gravity fed and switched the float to the clean side and inverted the float. The problem I have have is all is working well except the UV bulb only comes on during the cleaning cycle and does not stay on as it should??
Does any one know what the fix may be??
I did send this Question to Filtreau but as yet no answer I thought I would run it past you intellectual chaps as well?
    Thanks Rob

If its only coming on during the cleaning cycle it sounds like you have it plugged into the wrong socket on the controller. Sounds like you have it plugged into either the motor or pressure pump socket. They are labelled.

    Uv failed in an RDF

Thank you for your comment, If only I was that daft, that would be a nice fix.
I have sent a video of the set up to the manufacturer. With the pugs in the correct sockets.
Iím thinking there are two floats on the float switch and one of them turns the light off during the cleaning cycle. So since I inverted the float switch! This is what is causing the issue.
I post there reply if I can get an answer?

No my friend no! I email The drum Manufacturer and asked me to send a video of the set up!
I didnít get a reply. So I have no UV in the RDF running. But weirdly it does still come on only on the cleaning sucks. Uv failed in an RDFUv failed in an RDF I dare not trifle with the controle unit? I do not have good for on tinkering with electrics?

I recall a similar thread where the controller had been wired up wrong and they altered the wiring inside.

Where that thread is i dont know though....

Definitely sounds like the switch live for the cleaning cycle is connected to the UV.

An alternative would be to just plug in the UV separately. Grab a plug converter and youíll be good to go.

Normally I would say cut the plug off but if itís under warranty I would look at getting the controller swapped out.
