Ventilation under decking
Like most people my filter is under decking. With all the constant rain we get in Manchester and me painting my decking with a treatment that is fish safe I got from Canada bits of mould and the beginning of wet rot is appearing in places.
is like to put a fan to circulate the air more in there. Does anyone make small air powered ones as I could run it off the air pump or anyone else have any ideas.
Thanks
Jim

Is there any air gaps in your decking? If not them maybe try a couple of fan grills to let some movement of air under there and it wouldn't cost anything to run just a few quid for the 2 vents.

The paint you applied may not allow the timber breath properly and the moisture is getting trapped inside the timber/under the layer of paint.

good suggestion but its not that as I only painted the side facing the sky and the treatment I got from canada lets the wood breathe as it is not a sealant.
the timbers are wet on the frame work of the decking underneath and the supporting structures.
need more ventilation in there.
