Thread: Drop in draco

In case it helps, couple of pics of the overflow in my tray. The first was the original cut. Later I dropped my drum a notch so used tape to close the V up a bit. Worked fine. If I ever needed to raise the water level (such as during parasite treatments to make sure the edge of the pond was zapped), I just pegged an old credit card inside the tray, over the V, and that blocked the overflow

Thanks for that I have slowed my pump down as I’m getting a difference in water levels in the outer nexus from the inside one

My waste tray is lined up with my skimmer level water in the pond. The draco for my drop in is on the lowest it can go. Like wendy koize. I put 2 holes in the waste tray drilled. For a better overflow. To waste.
Easy put sealent in the holes if I wanted to change it.
So it is also used for trickle in and out.
I played with the pump for about 4 days to find the right balance. For the drop in. It now runs at 12000lph on the pump. On a 320 nexus. Which on mine. Is a nice balance. And also good on the shower lol.
I set the probe for washes at 45 minutes.
High feeding it was washing every 25 minutes. Now back to 45 minutes. As I have halved the feeding. As wendy says just play with it. To find the right balance for your pond.

the main waste valve is permantley open for your waste on the bottom of the nexus. for your drum wash. so with my 2 holes drilled in the waste tray. as i trickle in my top pond .
the water in the nexus and pond rises. and trickles into the waste Shute. with higher water. so that s trickling out lol.
1st photo valve always open to drain.
2nd photo 2 holes drilled out in waste tray.
Trickle out
