Not so sure on the performance of that particular model, but multi bays aren't great with their performance after about two cleans. Just messy awkward.

Personally for that price you could pick up a sieve and easypod that would do the job better? Given the small volume you'd want extra bio so add a moving bed, whether you make one or get a filtreau?

    I agree with Perks.

I would suggest a Nexus would serve you better and be easier to maintain (particularly is a sieve is placed before it to assist with the mechanical filtration.

    Cheers

In the main it will be the maintenance that will lead to their downfall. Cleaning brushes etc.. after heavy waste gets laborious and when things become a chore....

They have stood the test of time in many ways however maintenance in poor weather conditions gets neglected quite often. Other items are far quicker and cleaner to clean for the keeper.

    Cheers

I find that the awkwardness of cleaning, the messyness, the different techniques applied each time cause difference within intervals. Add in say halfway through a heavy shower of cold rain and you get a rushed finish. Leaving more room for a poor performance.

My opinion and experience of seeing ponds set up with this, which results in a change to a filter where the cleaning situation has been designed into it, does a much better job in the longer run.

Sounds good, a seive would aid the easypod and allow amazing water transparency, but not a necessity. You can always add one (provided you leave room with pipework and space).

All down to stock/feed level and how much maintenance you want to do, effectively.

Keep the pictures coming on, that way you can get feedback and possible suggestions, should you want them or possibly miss something....

    Only a thought
