How much k1 will I need
I have 10000ltr pond running a eazypod , roto shower with sieve and a diy moving bed with 34ltr k1 .
Is 34ltrs enough for size of pond or will I need more ? Stock lvl 13 koi and a small sturgeon. Fed 3 times a day.

Tests have been good , just put a new pod on pond and I know it takes time to mature my fish are not large biggest 12/16 inch, 10% water change once a week or after heavy rain .
Feeding 17g three times a day and 17g of sturgeon food once a day. .do I need to cut down Feeding until filter mature,

if your tests are all good. just keep feeding and carry on as you are. what i did was up the food to see what the pond and filters can take on feed load. if water parameters alter. when they alter. cut back untill your water parameter s are good. and stay on that daily feed. obviously as the fish grow water parameters may alter. but i like that you have added to your filter system. that s thinking ahead. while your still good on parameters. remember it takes k1 quite a while to mature. did you PP the k1 first. to take the protection film coat off. and rough the k1 up.

Personally I’ve found a single filter works best using multiple filters for me didn’t work
For example I had a nexus on one drain and a sieve and bead on the other
I found the bead would starve my nexus and my perimeters would rise and fall in line with bead cleans
When I changed my filters and removed the nexus nothing happened
So maybe roll with it and see how it goes
I currently use one filter on a single drain and the other just goes through a drum
I feed what I like and treatments don’t appear to effect my filter so far👍🏻

I had 14 koi from 60-90 cm lost a couple recently though ,so maybe I’m wrong 😂
I don’t measure feed either

i agree with spongebob. you will need more in the future. i have a nexus 320 with draco drop in drum. and 200lts of k1 and 100 liters of helx 13 mixed together. and added a bakki shower this spring.
does a good job. i have a lot of fish in the pond. well over stocked. the parameters are always good. the more media the better.

Just add the pp so it stays purple and put it in a koi bowl. Or some kind of container.
20 to 30ml should do it. If its liquid pp. If it goes brown like a tea colour add a little more untill purple. Leave over night.
Then wash it down with garden hose. Then add to your filter. Then get some ea filter start blue gel. And pour over the k1. With air in there and jobs a good un.
