I might be wrong, but if you add filter bacteria to your bio chamber with just plain water won't the bacteria just gradually die as they have nothing to feed on. I thought it was only when there is ammonia or nitrite for the bacteria to feed on that they start to reproduce. Like I said I might be wrong, hopefully someone else will be able to answer.

Once the fibreglass is sorted is there any thing people would recommend before refilling, such as cleaning with anything?
you could help the bio by adding water from the temp pond holding any fish into the newly filled pond as part of your water changes, the holding tank fish waste will be in effect added to the maturing pond without a risk of ammonia spike to any fish. Fool the pond into thinking there are already fish in there

Could you do some fishless cycling? As per Manky Sankey's website.

It does take some time mind you. But will at least give you a head start before the fish go in.

I have a bottle of Ammonia you can have for free if you want to go down that route.

Well there is more ammonia in my tap water than I have ever registered in the pond when I tested it so hopefully that would be ok but I could pump some out the temp pool. Hoping to be able to fill the pond over the weekend or later depending on what the fibreglass man says tomorrow

Fibreglass all sorted, took him all of 10 minutes! going to wipe all the sides down with a wet sponge tomorrow and then hose it off and pump out before starting to fill again. Its strange having an empty pond!!

The fellas name is Grant, but I still don't know the company name! I have just got all the rain water out and made up a mix of 4 Virkon tablets with a couple of litres of water and sponged it around the pond before hosing it all down and pumping out again and now the pond is drying before starting to fill tomorrow. The ponds had a double PP dose and virkon wash so I would like to think theres nothing that could survive that! When its filled again I may start putting a virkon tablet in the vortex part of my filter every other day as thats where crap gathers between water changes as it then goes through the bio and back into the pond so will gradually dilute into the water anyway.

Pond is all full again. have added bacteria to try and get the filter moving and waiting for the temperatures to get closer then I will move the fish over again. Also wait for the ammonia to come down as it is higher from my tap than I have ever had in my pond. Checked it earlier and its reading high so will check daily to see if it comes down too and get the fish back in their home. Would it be a good idea to give them a PP dip on their way in to cleanse of any issues although havent seen any sort of flicking or issues and last scrapes came up clear.

If the fish are all looking healthy. And not showing signs of stress. Flashing and flicking. Clamped fins. I would nt pp them.
You can always net them out the pond.
If and when required to. And do what you have to do. You know your fish. If one don t look right dip it. But if all ok. Why stress them.

Thanks Fred, good advice I guess I just worry I'm worrying about everything but they haven't been flicking or flashing, just eating all the algae off the bottom in their temp pond!
