    Nexus pre filter

I really don't know why I haven't thought of this before, had the filters for about 3 years and only dawned on me today, it's a perfect fit and easy to change, also mesh size, hopefully it will slow down my nexus cleaning routine

How many micron is that filter sock?

On my Eazy Pod outlet with bypass system I started with a 400 then went to a 200 and am currently using a 100. I have a 50 but think that will mean I'll need my running shoes on to keep up with it blocking and cleaning so fast

How solid is the rib on the neck of that sock? I only ask as when it starts to fill with muck it could get quite heavy plus the water will be pushing harder against it adding to the over all weight.

    Bloody good fit though

Not sure on size bud it's not mega fine, just to take heavy out for now, the ring is solid and it will just flow over the sides when it's full I hope lol

Yes that's your over flow system mine cost a bit more as I was working with a solid bit of 3" pressure pipe and fitting plus I need a valve so I could make it bypass when putting treatments in.

What I have found with mine is that it clears then goes murky again then back to clear etc etc. I put this down to the muck getting churned up inside the sock and as a result being made smaller and smaller then started to get through the sock. As the muck is only broken down food and fish waste it was getting smaller quite quickly specially when most of the medium to larger muck had been removed from the pond or by the rest of the filters? Well that theory fits for me anyway but then again I could be totally wrong
