What a Mess !!!
Went out this morning and was treated to this mess ! Late spawning, and very scary to see 75cm+ females being lifted out of the water. There will be some knocks and bruises after this lolDSC01273.jpgDSC01278.jpgDSC01280.jpgDSC01281.jpg

That's a cracking looking pond !!
Mine have been a tad active again recently, I have soooo many little fish in my pond that I want to identify when I do my pond change.

The pond has gone from a crystal clear, calm environment to what you see in the pics. ammonia always zero, now sky high. and water murky as hell !!DSC01282.jpgDSC01283.jpgDSC01284.jpg

First off great pond! What do you think has caused the ammonia spike? debris being disturbed?

blimey looks a bit violent.... i had the same this week witnessed a few times 3 to 4 fish chasing a couple around, poor things swimming for their lives it looked like, they got squashed against the pond wall and lifted up too but not at the surface just below, no plants or brushes though so i guess any eggs etc will just get eaten,...agree lovely looking pond.

Just an update...fish laying about a bit... (think I would be after 10 hours)...water clearing , ammonia down but still not zero, few scales on the bottom of the pond, and a drum absolutely full of eggs. lol
Will do 25% water change today to help things along. When the water is clear I will be able to see if any fish damage, there usually is some with big fish.!

[QUOTE=Letimgo;344077]Hi, what a great pond. Random question but what is the plant you have growing over the rocks in the background?
It starts with the letter M and grows like a weed .................................
Love this pond, just gorgeous .
