    Questions about UV

I’ve got two UV units, shall I run them together as in one after the other on my filter line or shall I connect one to my skimmer and one to my nexus line? The trade off being running the same water through UV for twice the time or runny twice the amount of water through uv for half the time? If that makes sense.

    110w UV’s on pumps both @ 8000LPH

I really don't think you need two 110w uvs on a 21000 L pond. I used to run one 110w uv on a 36000L pond which gets sun all day and it was fine. I've recently changed this for a 40w amalgam, which so far seems to be doing great. I was intending on installing 2 but so far it's not needed.

    I agree, I have a 55w on 10,000l and it's cleared the pond in under 7 days.

I’ve got 16000 litres with an X Clear 75w an 80w Amalgam and in the summer still have to use a EA55w every pond is different.

Maybe I’ve set it up wrong because one UV doesn’t do the job, it clears most but definitely not all. I’ve got it so might aswell use it as can’t be a bad thing and can only make the pond cleaner right?

you may as well put one on each line. I have 2 seperate systems running a 55w on each line. I plan to run just one system through the winter

I wouldn’t run them in tandem, I’d put one on each line. As I said in an earlier post I’ve got an XClear running on a EA220 on one line, the amalgam is dropped in a 4” pipe from the skimmer and one of the bottom drains, the EVO55 is on the same line after the filter which I use in the summer. The Amalgam on its own should be enough but it isn’t.

You checked the bulbs are ok? Also sometimes if the flow is set to high it will have a negative affect.
