Thread: Nitrate gone

    Nitrate gone

I've always had around 20-40 reading no matter what I did with the shower be it 2 tier or 3, alphagrog or midori csm but I put 2 boxes worth of lotus root bhm in there on Tuesday and tested the water today and it's absolutely clear! Might not look it in the photo but in real life it's clear Nitrate gone almost 3 days and the nitrate is gone I was feeding a bit more than usual since then too I thought that all the jargon was a load of old rubbish but in doubting myself now

That’s great news, hoping to get the same results with my shower that I have just made. Fingers crossed.

That's great news if the reading is correct and definitely a much faster turnaround than you get with Anoxic filters!

Only thing is I do occasionally get dud readings on nitrate tests so would be worth testing again just to be sure. But if it comes up clear again then that's an amazing result.
