    Blanket weed treatment

    Hi

So what is everyone using to stop the dreaded blanket weed? Previously I have always used Cloverleaf BWA but this year it seems to not be working. At the same time I have treated my Mums pond with Blagdons pond balance and that seems to be working well. However for a large pond 28k litres it will be a bit expensive for the whole summer.

Anything else being used you can recommend ?

Oh and before you ask all pond parameters are spot on and Nitrate is so low my test kit wont show it.

    Andy

I would imagine so mate - that was quite a while back now and I can’t imagine any CBA ingredient still being active.

And another vote for Aqua Source Resolve. Brilliant stuff. I just sprinkle a 10-20% dose and leave for a week, repeat if necessary but usually one is enough.

How long has it been in?

When I use it it takes a while but after 10 days it's gone.

Thats very strange mate. We’ve sold tons of it and it has worked in every pond so far - even in those who always struggle with BW year after year.

If the BW is advanced by the time the treatment goes in then it may take more product and a longer time. As previously advised can take a few days, however it works for sure.

    Cheers

Strange, I put less than normal in last time, didnt even stop the trickle in and it still worked. Normaly use 1200g, but only had 1100g left and it still did the job just fine.

Perhaps someone can shed some light on why it hasn't worked.
