I have just done mine. Hose pipe off 30 inch dechlorinator hidden behind return pipe and a 15mm tank connector in the side of the drum at the right height.

I have a 10" 3 stage dechlorinator feeding into my drum at a rate of about 1.5 to 2 litres per hour

In my skimmer I have a overflow that sets the height of my pond, this obviously trickles out at the same rate as the trickle in does, the overflow is 1" pressure pipe and it goes to drain or can be diverted to the garden
