It looked like it was laid on a few odd slabs on the photos.. and was wondering. Yeah sourcing materials is going to slow you down.. I think you have done well given the circumstances

My house is built directly on the clay, if I dig down about 14 inches then that’s where the brickwork ends and the clay starts, it’s not moved in 100 years so I think we do over engineer our ponds a little, all the pressure on a pond wall is actually sideways not downward anyway
