unheated and the covers came off at the weekend, the pond was at 10.5 so seemed like the right time, plus I wanted to see the fish!

Mine are on still at night, leaving two thirds covered during the day as not getting any sun yet until 4pm each day, full covers on night as still chilly with clear skies....

I’m heated to 15°, and I’m going to leave them off this weekend as a test, Temperatures are still dipping to 5° overnight, but should be warm enough during the day for minimal heat pump run time.
To be honest, it’s worth a few extra quid in electricity to look out the window at something other than 13sq metres of polycarbonate while stuck at home.

i've had my covers off for the occasional day, or just sliding one of the 3 panels back during the day.
i'm heated to 17C so night temps would mean the heater running a lot if i left the covers off...

i'm tempted to do it for the rest of this week though as an experiment, as the weather forecast is so good.
