Hi Marc,
I have had similar and even after scraping have found nothing. Have you scraped?
When they display this behaviour (if I have been feeding regularly) I reduce the food assuming everything else is OK.
The weekend looks good for weather which may help a few degrees and couple make a difference.

Hi Gaz
Many thanks for your reply I have not scraped yet I did not want to handle her while weather still a bit chilly I will back off slightly on the feeding. I will carry out a scrape if she shows no sign of improvement by the weekend I get a little concerned with this particular fish.
All the best Marc

I've a 55cm Sanke doing the same thing.
It did the same last year, kept scraping but found nothing, then another koi started doing it, both sitting in the corner together, and the 2nd koi was covered in flukes.
More recently this year the Sanke has been joined by 2 others, one of which is the same 2nd fish from last year. They come up from bottom and are normal when I go near the pond.
I'm not in a rush to scrape but if it continues once temps are consistently over 12C then I'll scrape and treat accordingly.

Well i scraped 3 fish this week and found nothing. My new kohaku started getting grumpy yesterday so had it out and found plenty of flukes ! Banged some fluke p in and upped the air so that coupled with a rise in temps should see them happier .

Hi mate,
The flukes could be there following the movement stress and new environment to the new Kohaku - not necessarily purchased with the problem.
Ive found Fluke P to be the least effective treatment as it is very low in active ingredient.
I would recommend any of the following:
Fluke M
Fluke S
Flukesolve
Columbo
Fluke P is better used as a third final dose IMHO.
If flukes probs difficult to kill off, consider a dose of Chloramine T first to strip the mucus.
Hope that helps mate.

Hi Gaz,i used fluke p as i used it early last year and it worked straight away and i never had any sign of anything again. I sold all my fish and equipment in oct and started up again recently so all fish are new to me .I used to pp to strip mucus but havent done this time.I have a full tub of Flubenol and acetone but dont bother using as ive only found it to knock flukes back and not wipe them out..I will scrape on tues /wed and take it from there Cheers

I like Fluke P because you know that it dilutes well in the pond, whereas the powders leave you wondering if they've mixed in enough.
After reading Gaz' post I checked out the Prazi percentage in Fluke P and its surprisingly low at 5%.
Flukesolve didn't work for me last year, but Colombo Lernex did the job, or at least knocked them back enough up until this year, with the added side effect that I got no Mosquito larvae all year after using it.

Kusuri Fluke S is 50% praziquantel which suggests Fluke P is very weak unless there are further active ingredients on Fluke P. Just seems weak to me and the destructions on Fluke M suggest use Fluke P after if still problems.
Just shows every experience can differ.
Last year it was amazing how different products were preferred in different regions

If I remember right want there a couple on here. That had a super fluke that was immune to everything they treat with.
And had to go through paula Reynolds.
They had to send samples and photos I believe.
Cannot remember who they where.

I used fluke P at 6c for flukes 3 years ago.
It was the only fluke treatment I could use at that time. In colder weather. I believe it was developed for that reason. All the other fluke treatments where 10c a nd above I believe.
It worked as well. But last year I used fluke m. And chlormine T first.
Reason above 10c a d a lot cheaper then fluke P.
