    Titavating around the pond today......

Very recently we had new fences put up, even though i told the fencer that i needed room to lift the lid on the filter housing all the way up i stupidly did not check and yes you guessed it the very top of the lid does not pass the top of the post so i had no choice today but to chisel a section out of it so the lid can pass without getting wedged, really annoyed about it but it had to be done, i could not move the lid or the fence post this was by far the easiest option...... i can now lift the lid straight up to a vertical position so if needed i can now lift out the drum as this requires a vertical lift from the filter housing, helpful for when i change the UV light...... also resealed the edge of the rubber roof as this had come unstuck due to getting ripped off against the fence post!!!
Whilst i was at it i put into the filter box the sticky tape things to catch some of those pesky midges, i have run them across in one part as i do not want them falling in the water and hung them in another part above the waste drain, next thing to do is to get some hydraulic arms sorted for the lid as one day that's going to fall on my head!!... cheers Steve.

Hi Steve, Looks like you have been a busy lad today, would get the rams to help lift the lid as you dont want that on your head.

Think you would be better with those stickers outside the filter as they look as though they will get in the way, look the same as the ones I used really stickey and do the job so good luck with them Steve.

Hi John i hope your well.....
no where to hang them really outside the box as its all now boxed in, the fly issue is mainly inside the bio section, when ever i lift the lid up i get a face full of midges they don't taste very nice lol....i do not need to get into the bio box too much so its no issue the sticky tape being in there, these are what you use i ordered them from the link you sent me
