    DIY 90 Bend Skimmer

    Evening all

To increase the water turn over and surface crap I want to add a skimmer. Unfortunely due to ponds wooden frame and placement I am unable to fit a normal skimmer.

I was therefore considering using a 2" up turned 90 bend, has anyone done this or have and recommendations?

As the pond is fully covered and away from and falling leaves I don't get a lot of surface crap. This is primarily to add additional turnover.

    Cheers all

HI, i dont have a normal skimmer, when the pond was done i had a 1.5 extra return put in the wall . after doing the filters it was unused , so added a 90 bend and that skims the pond in to the drum . works ok for me .

    Thank you Sammy.

Please can some one advise on the best placement, the feed in is in the bottom left hand corner by the wall and fence?
