Some would say overstocked, I’ve got 130 ish in there at the moment. I’ve ran the nexus solely with 700+ in it, they’re all for sale though I’m just using it as my main sales pond when we get back to normal

Lots of time to be doing it aswell, I agree it is a lot of fish and a lot to look at. I’ve got a 4000l grow on with an additional 150 in there. I’ve had them feeding for the first time today

The only gripe I have about my system is not putting the Cetus from the bottom drain. I should’ve put it before the nexus and a seperate one on the skimmer

Very nice mate, love the window. I regret not putting one in mine but the main viewing point of our pond will be from the patio

Finished the tiling on sunday. Still lots to do in enclosing the filter bay but for now its as far as it needs to be. Just need to seal the tiles. Oh, and move the soil closer to the front of the front garden to get rid of it all!

Thanks Will, I was lucky in a sense that it took so long as dug it all by hand. Because of this I was able to constantly get ideas as to how I could make it as good as possible first time and I think other than maybe a drum filter for less work cleaning, I currently wouldn't change a thing. Although the bio capacity in that filter is rather large and more than adequate for the size of the pond anyway its only filling the pond back up from a water change that actually takes the time as emptying the waste takes no time.Strangely enough the hole ended up larger than originally planned

I remember doing ours last summer and we set off with a 3000l in ground pond. All we wanted was a new liner but that quickly changed and we were 2ft deep bolting sleepers together. Our design changed about 5 times from having 2 smaller ponds that flow into eachother to having 2 seperate ponds and then one big one. It has 2 liners though which is unnecessary, but when your job is working with pond material, it’s better being safe than sorry
