Unusual occurrences
I was intrigued to see if this happens to anyone else. So after the earlier post about collecting some clay, I spoke to koi logic who was still open and as its a Monday it was quiet so I decided to pop down to collect the NT labs mediclay following the correct procedures of distances etc as I figured its probably not going to be long before we are in total lockdown. Now on to the strange bit, I collected the clay and found when I got home there was also a box with 2 fish in which I got for free according to what I told my missus anyway?! I don't know how it happened but this lovely little Asagi and Showa are now happily swimming around in the pond with my others!

Nice! Unfortunately this has not happened to me yet as I am only just starting my build!
I'm sure in time though I will find such suprises after visiting dealers when only going for smaller purchases!
Enjoy

Lock down in place now, imagine all the koi waiting for new homes over the next month or two whilst we can't shop for them as all non essential shops are shut now unless its via post I guess?
just want to stress it was a trip to the shop and home keeping more than safe distances when interacting with staff, as the fish were bowled etc I stepped away to keep space so although not ideal visiting the shop in the first place, I followed the correct restrictions. We wont be visiting any dealers for a while now

Unfortunately I don't cover any areas that have koi shops at work, so I wont even be able to get in the door when delivering to them lets hope this all passes quickly as I don't want to be stuck home any more than necessary!Have a week off this week and already bored knowing I can't go out!

I’m quite happy to leave mine at the dealers and stay indoors to be honest.
No fish is worth risking your life for or anyone else’s come to that.

Your right Fred this is very serious and to be honest I had problems sleeping with it last night, wont be able to see g/kids for a while now and my daughter has hay fever which gives breathing difficulties.
My wife reckons we have enough food in for a week so I am not going anywhere.John

I am chesty through being a smoker. Self inflicted. But I ain't worried about myself. I care about all the little ones and older ones out there lol. When my youngest grandbain
Was born in December 3 weeks later she was in hospital for 2 weeks. Tubes ventilated the lot. Fluid on the lungs.
Pneumonia. Bless her. I now believe she had this shit. But obviously they did nt know what it was then.
And it knocked the stuffing out of myself and our lass.
And until people see something like that
They just don t understand.

Hi Samp,
That truly is remarkable and an amazing coincidence they were 2 you liked as well. I hope the Mrs has not accused you of confusion (or worse) as this would of course put you in credit to actually buy some now.
Ive not had your scenario happen to me, although the other year, I had a few strange occurrences:
- Two cracking fish jumped from next door who can’t remember having owned them.
- Some of my koi had huge babies overnight
- Some of my koi totally changed size shape and colour when she was at work
- I had miscounted my collection previously when the wife was making ‘notes’ on how many were in the pond
AND ALL THIS AFTER A HERON DROPPED ME 3 IN!!!
My guess is I will encounter your scenario shortly after the lockdown is over.
