    food in filter drum

if I lowered the probe to its full extent would the water within the drum keep rising and breach the catchment tray inside ? there is a number of pellets inside the drum that are floating around where the fish did not feed a few days ago when the fencing was being done i think they were sulking due to the noise.... i just want to get rid of the pellets as opposed waiting for them to dissolve / rot which in these temps will take some time, if i disconnected the end pipe i will still not reach the pellets as the catchment tray is in the way..... so if it filled up the pellets should fall in the catchment tray and go off down the drain, just unsure if it would rise that much ?

    food in filter drum

What drum are you using..? I thought most drums overflow into the waste chute?

One reason I like and chose the oase as you can take out the mesh grills for a deep clean and maintenance. And also lower or raise the micron

Can you shut the inlet and outlet valves and then top up the water in the drum til its goes over the shoot to waste .

Are you getting enough flow through your drum to make the waste actually stick to the mesh?
Can’t say I’ve ever noticed anything floating around in my drums dirty side.
Quite often if I get a leaf or two that will get stuck inside the drum on the waste chute and cause waste food to get stuck, I just shove a car wheel cleaning brush with a long flexible handle up there and drag it out.
