    Roll on the spring.

Today I spent most the day in the garden with the pond fitting the tiles on the outside of one side and it was bloody lovely looking in and seeing the fish active! I decided to feed a little floating food a couple of times over the day and the fish would come up and take them and enjoy the upper layers of the pond which is the first time I've been able to enjoy this behaviour since building the pond. It was absolute bliss and made the work all worthwhile, I really can't wait for the warmer weather and to spend summer evenings relaxing after work with the fish!I ache like mad now though!

(just to clarify I was feeding 1mm coppins pellet and literally a pinch of them, maybe 20 or so individual pellets which wouldn't be quarter of a mouthful for 3 of the fish in there, and even the smallest fish would happily polish the lot off on its own so next to nothing)

I'll make sure to have a few ciders before I go outside so I am suitably relaxed before I see what disaster I have to face

I am feeding once a day but a reasonable amount, they all come straight down and graze until gone, I have no left over food in the filters or skimmer.... quite surprised how much they are eating, I reckon they would eat twice if I gave them another feed, when the pond temp dropped to 9 they did slow down for sure it was noticeable but now back on it..

It's great in the summer mate with a nice chilled beer. Sat there looking at the fish
Even better on a warm night with the lights
    On. Bliss

Still mild for around this time of year.
1c right now. Around here in Hull area.
    At least it ain't-5
And the winds have brought warmer air then normal.
My covers are still on. 3 plant pots ended up in my top pond.
So I will have to get them out. Pump it out. It's easier.
Another 5 weeks I reckon then covers are off.
Cant wait. My windows need a good old clean up. Not algi. Bio mass. That tells me the pond is still producing. Pond temp is at 9.3c

Blimey, was a balmy 12 degree here earlier, now we’ve had hailstones and a light dusting of snow is forecast tonight.
Prepare for major congestion tomorrow morning when all the muppets are doing the school run then!!!
Mind you, If it’s a bit white out there my 487bhp rear wheel drive monster is going nowhere and I’ll be working from home lol

I’m down between Reading and Camberley Fred. We rarely have any massively bad weather down here although it’s hardly stopped raining for about 3 months. If and when it snows, we’ll get a couple of inches then it’s gone in a few days.
The sun was out a couple of days ago and it was lovely and warm. Turned a bit nippy today but no snow.
