I bought a tap with 3 outlets, one of which for filtered water but the filters that come with it are £35 each and last 6 Months, so in 6 Months time I will be replacing it with a 3 pod which will greatly increase water flow, filter the water to a higher standard, and be much cheaper.

With the spots hanging have you had a new ceiling put in Rs?

Only asking as my kitchen ceiling is textured with only one central light, was thinking of plaster board over the artex and spots put in,less of a mess that way?

We ripped old ceiling down then plasterboard directly to the beams.

It did have artex previously so I had to wear full PPE and respiratory mask because artex contains white asbestos, which is the least deadly but still worth avoiding.

If your beams can take the weight I guess you could board over the ceiling, but the next person to remove it won't know there's artex underneath until it's too late.

You might be able to PVA and then plaster straight over the artex, cheaper and easier than replacing ceiling if you can get a plasterer for 2 days on a day rate.

Anything up to late 90's should be viewed with extreme caution.

I got mine tested at work and it came up positive.

Also have asbestos wrap round the exhaust manifold on my car which I need to get around to removing.

the killer cost wise were all the end panels... all 14 of them because the kitchen is split by the home theatre room and pantry doors.
endpanels and trims were half the cost of the kitchen!

Dont want the mess of ripping the old ceiling out as the kitchen isnt that old,I believe you can use the 9mm board and screw it on after you mark the joists, got a few plasterers in mind to skim over.

We also have a marble work top which cant be stood on.

What if 2 people come through those 2 doors at the same time?

    They will knock eachother out!

pantry is only very small, if your in there you're basically standing in the doorway anyway.
    not knocked any one out...yet

the other door goes into what used to be the garage before i converted it, into a reef tank room then eventually a movie room

You never stop in a house, once one things finished the next thing is ready for work, its like a continuous treadmill.

On another note what filter unit and filters do I need to filter my domestic water for our uses? not for the fish just the household, thinking of putting one on my incoming main?
    Cheers

Be careful with that artex John, it'll have asbestos in it, don't scrape it or create any dust from it.

When I was even sillier than I am now we just used to convince our selves that the roofs we were taking down were concrete sheets and that a good drink that night would cure us the logic worked in our heads as daft youngens just looking for a extra payday packet

not easy or cheap to filter the whole incoming main, you'd probably need a triple big blue or 30 litre granular with prefilter.

better to just have one small bore drinking water tap and filter that water.
single 10" pod with combination sediment and carbon block cartridge would do that.
    even an inline filter
