I'm trying my best to avoid seeing koi for sale now as I need my pond to mature and get to the right level before I add any more. I also need to decide what varieties I want to finish the pond!isn't it strange how when you first look at Koi you may only like a couple of types yet once you start getting more into it suddenly there isn't a koi you don't want! It's only kohaku that do nothing for me really, every other variety needs to find its way into my pond!

I felt the same about kohaku in the beginning, but once you see some stunning jumbo ones you'll want one in your pond.

I got a cheap one to help mature filters in the beginning, it's turned out really nice, but only 35cm long and now sansai (3 years old).

I think going to the all England koi show in May will change my thoughts and interests seeing them fish there.

The one posted on here recently from Gatwick koi was lovely, I had similar thoughts about Sanke & Showa but the show ones I have seen in videos have been stunning and I feel I want a full scaled one rather than a doitsu but that one did catch my eye and tempt me to maybe take a wonder down that path, we shall see!
