    Power cut options

I was just wondering how long the fish would be ok for without air ? praying tomorrow wont be as bad as forecasters are saying for us all but if it was and we lost power worst circumstances how many days will they be ok for ? anyone got any ideas, is it worth increasing the air flow today to aerate the water more just in case ?? i wonder if you can buy battery operated air stones big enough to support a pond ???
Regarding filtration well just stop feeding and put on a trickle to help keep water fresh,

At lower temps water holds much more oxygen than when it's warmer. 2 times more?
    I'd have to Google it....
So that wouldn't bother me at this time of year.
    Different scenario in summer though...

So the only issue with lack of oxygen for me would be ventilation under the polycarbonate.
So I'd just leave a small 2" gap along one edge.

My big issue would be lack of water pump circulation through the filters.

Ultimate back up in rural areas would be UPS with a generator.

Cheaper option would be a petrol genny.
Honda make some quiet ones but only low kva 1000w ish at £600 or so a go.
Or noisey cheap ones at £100 Or so...

Got me thinking what to do worst case.
Just had a Google around and found a small generator for reasonable money at machine mart only low wattage but would be enough to run pond pump and air pump.
