I purchased a load of pipe fittings for when i was connecting up my filters.
To save me going backwards and forwards getting the odd fitting I asked the dealer if i got lots more than i needed could i return the ones not used
Yes, Not a problem....
When i returned the unused fittings which came to about £50.....He threw the notes at me on to the counter.5000 Gallon Fibreglassed Pond With 54" x 27" Infinity Window

I experienced exactly the same sort of thing last year when purchasing two tosai from a koi dealer that may or may not be located near a major airport. When I initially called to order the fish (£490 total) he was all chatty and friendly. When I called back after the quarantine period to arrange delivery I was met with the command "Call back on Monday". Called back on Monday and was given equally short shrift, "Call Tuesday for Wednesday delivery" etc.
Everyone raves about this dealer and it was the first time I used them but I won't be doing so again - shockingly rude and no excuse for it. Plus I'm not convinced he actually feeds the fish as they always look super skinny IMO.

Lol, didn't need to mention airports, as soon as you said super skinny fish I knew where straight away!
On the plus side they are quarantined to the highest possible standard, and after the first feed they instantly become super tame and friendly!

Odd, reading all of these posts and I like my two local koi dealers. I'm about 20 miles from both Costal Koi and Selective Koi and I've always found them to both to be great, always seem to have enough time to discuss anything whether you're buying or not... Maybe its because we're all related (Norfolk)!?

My two nearest koi dealers here in the North West are excellent, they are very helpful, not pushy when buying koi and won’t only try to sell you the filter systems they stock! My koi have all come from the same two dealers as I’ve no need to go anywhere else.

As above, Uk Nishikigoi in St Helens and Quality Nishikigoi in Warrington owned by Tim Waddington. Only dealers I’ve ever bought from. Both are very helpful and don’t mind just talking and giving you loads of free advice.
I bought a couple of tosai from them last year (Asagi and Ginrin kohaku) both appeared to me to be great quality Japanese koi and at a fair price.

Hi - try Aurora Koi. They are small but provide excellent customer service and are very interested and can source most products upon request.
