    Pump , external or submerged

Hi all I have a nexus 310 which is above pond level and I am wondering , would I better with a external pump . I have a superfish eco 16000 submerged at the minute , which pumps to my uv which is below pond level then on to my nexus which is above water level .
So if I take the pipe off my uv or off at filter entry , water still comes out of pipe from pond , ( which is normal as all below water level ) so in theory gravity fed up to that point . Then my pump which is like I say is submerged about 25 ft away to push the last bit to get water over into the nexus .
So now Im wondering would I be better off putting a external pump on instead at filter entry area to push it over into the filter ????
Would like to here your thoughts .
    Cheers in advance

Hi john yes 2 inch smooth inside pipe .
Ive just never had a external pump , in 30 + years of having ponds , I always have had a submerged pump .but just wondered if it would run Better that way . I brought a sequence 15000 when I moved a few years ago and was gonna run that but chose to go against it.
