    Check your ponds

Just heard the water turn on in the house , thought it was just the drum going off but didn't stop, just went out and the whole cover had been ripped off the pond and knocked the 1200mm wide shower off the side and emptied about a foot of water, be careful out there

I've done the best I can to put as much as I can back together, turned the drum off and taken the bypass plates off as the level is so low, hopefully top it up and check it all in the morning fingers crossed the shower isn't leaking

i did used to have polycarb over my pond and through out the cold winter months i would nip out throw food at 'em and run back inside
Then i had a brain wave to make the polycarb big enough for me to get under it.....so i am in the process of building a 8.5m x 6.5m koi cave
    In there i will have
    my 5000 gallon main pond
    2x 750 gallon EZ Ponds
2x 400 gallon Shoreham Koi ponds
1x 450 gallon Denby Koi pond
Rather than heating each tank individually i heat the room in winter and chill it in summer

    The missus was really chuffed.
My little shed was knocked down when we had a kitchen extension.
So we had no kitchen and no koi shed...... Guess what I built first lol

I put a T on one of the 3 inch pipes coming from the pond. The T goes up to make a foam fractionator (sp) I re-used an old T because I am a cheapskate. There wasn't enough hole to solvent cement the vertical pipe. So I used a load of silicone instead. I meant to replace the T with a new one at some point.

But it stayed in place well and I only ever got foam out of it on one occasion so I never got around to replacing it.

The night before last I accidentally knocked it while cleaning the filters and it came out of the hole, shooting up a geyser of water. I had to put my foot into the hole to reduce the flow while I tried to remove the silicone round the edge to get it back in. The water that made it past my foot was shooting up my trouser leg.

    Which was nice.

.....wonder if i could rig my old deltec APF 851 to my pond....
