What do you think of this fish?
Will this fish have a future?

I'm far from experienced when it comes to determining if a fish has a future..... My pond is proof of that lol.
So take this with a pinch of salt or as a bit of fun speculation.....
As the Koi grows those small patches of red will appear even smaller and too spaced apart, and may even break up into untidy speckles.
I think the kiwa / shashi (leading and trailing edge of the red) should be sharper but if the fish is young then this could improve with age (it has on mine).
I'm not a very good judge of body shape, but to me the shape looks ok.
If the Koi had a tail-stop (i.e a band of red just before the tail) I think it would look much better.
Ultimately its down to taste.... if you're not interested in showing it or breeding from it and you like it, go for it, watch it develop and learn from it.

Whats with the wanna meet asian women and other dodgy adverts on the site?
I actually wouldn't say no to an asian hotty but if i was actively pursuing asian dating, then it's unlikely i would start my search on a koi website.

Ha ha Ashoko Tancho, the advertising is personalised based on your internet search tendencies, have you been a naughty boy?
In all seriousness I get those ads too, much to the wife's suspicion, yet I never search that kind of stuff (on my own phone at least). I think there's an algorithm that somehow links those ads to this site due to the constant use of Asian/Japanese terminology used here.

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
