    Nexus 300

After a few time wasters I've decided to keep my spare nexus 300 , any ideas on what to do with it? We know they don't really get the job done so was thinking along the lines of a large polishing filter , I have loads of jap mat or stainless mesh, or black knight brushes, or maybe a biological bakki river type set up? Or just run it along side my 310 ? Just sick of silly idiots wanting it for pennies, was thinking of adding it when the twin drum is running , which would be Cetus sieve to drum to two nexus one for each drum then a polishing filter , I have 2 large freestanding pods both with 4 inch plumbing , also have a large vortex and a bead filter if anyone can think of best combination of these, look forward to any ideas you all may have

How much were you asking for it mate?

380 to 400 tends to be the market price if advertised cleaned and with good pics but I've seen a few go on eBay for under 200 without media if the adverts are poorly written and in the winter Months.

Think your location plays a big part in when it sells and how much you get for it..... Just a case of waiting for the right buyer who's reasonably local.

Maybe leave it sitting there till Spring and advertise it again.

Seems a lot of effort to make use of it when it isn't really needed, although I guess its a cheap way of increasing pond volume seeing as it holds 800 litres of water!

I reckon you'll easily get that for it..... at the right time of year with a well written advert and good photos of it nice and clean.

When I was looking for one last year I had a max distance in my head of 1 hours drive and max price of 450 and got out-bid on every single one I went for.

I also think whilst the lid might help get a quicker sale, if you stuck the lid up for 50 on its own you'd sell that, then stick the Nexus up for 350 you'd sell that too.

Another thing is to keep it till May time and stick it up on auction from 99p (with reserve if you want to be safe). You'll be surprised what things sell for if you're lucky enough to get a bidding war.

Time of year mate, reduced demand, which means less chance of someone within easy driving distance looking for one at the moment.

The messers come out of the woodwork 'cos they'll travel if they can get it for a song.
