    Sinking pellets

What sinking pellets are everyone using? i wanna try probites winter care for the winter but no where has a 1kg bag in stock and don't really wanna spend £47 on food that they might not like. Ideally i want something that's as good as probites and that's in a 1kg bag or tub.

My local tackle shop sell sinking pellets of all various sizes at £5.99 a kilo. They are used at fish farms for quick growth and my fish love them, ive been using them for about a year and the fish love them, no problem with water at all.
    Caterham tackle shop.

I've just started looking into Vitalis today. Usually I don't feed below 10 degrees but these say they can be fed all year round "due to their ingredients and composition." Does anyone have any experience of feeding these ( or anything else for that matter ) under 10 degrees ?

    Thanks in advance..

I just feed mine frozen blood worms, They love them! They sink and as soon as the fish see me they come up and feed them of the middle of the pond.

I'm feeding vitalis, it's the 1st winter feeding it tho so I have no results for you, 1 think I will say is I've never seen fish go so crazy for a food before and you need to feed quite a bit less than you would usually. I've used it for the last 2 years as a food to throw in as and when I walk past the pond and aqua source in the feeder.

I brought a pellet pump and feed them on Medikoi wheatgerm with garlic, these are floating pellets but using the pump they now sink so I feed a very small quantity of floaters for the confident fish that like feeding off the surface and a small quantity I pump so they sink..... they are definitely more confident feeding as the pellets drop down through the water column, my fish are not confident at the surface due to the polycarb covers, I guess they will get used to them over time but thought they would of by now as its been quite a few weeks the covers have been on... Steve.
