Heating grow on Vat
Hi all
looking for ideas/suggestions to heat my 1400L vat in the garage to grow some on over winter
I currently use an electro series on another vat but that bankrupted me last winter

No sure there is much else really inline electro or dura 7 but that would cost a bomb to buy and over kill . The electro should do the trick with loads of insulation and cover .

i have a schego 600W steel aquarium heater in the easypod on my 500 gallon in the garage, as long as you cover the vat with polycarb sheets and insulate everything the heater only comes on rarely

I was thinking of something similar, but wasn’t sure it would be powerful enough!
Thanks for letting me know though

As long as you cover and insulate its fine, my garage is freezing in the winter, ive just turned my heater on yesterday funny enough, the water dropped to 17 yesterday and hit 19.5 today without heating so ive ive put it on to stop it swinging for the moment

Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
