What is you yearly heating plan?
Hi All,
For those of you who heat your pond, i'm interested to know what temperatures you heat to during the different seasons/months? At the end of summer, when do you start to drop the temperature back down ready for winter?
Cheers!

I will go into November at 18 degrees, dropping it down to 16 degrees till January, then let it drop naturally down to 8 degrees, can take six or seven weeks to drop depending on what winter we are dealt, beginning to the middle of March I then start turn up the the stat.

Current regime.
November to April - 12c plus large tarpaulin over pergola and shower wrapped in bubble wrap. From Xmas, I also cover pond with insulated cover.
April to May - slow increase to 23c
June to October - 23c/24c
Exact timings are dependent on prevailing weather conditions.
